These generous scholarships are valued at A$15,000 per year (for up to 4 years) and are available to students starting an eligible program at The University of Queensland’s (UQ) Gatton campus.
Harsh Kirpal Pahuja is completing a Master of Animal Science at UQ and received a Destination Australia scholarship.
“My brother is actually funding my study, so receiving the Destination Australia scholarship has reduced the financial burden on him tremendously,” he said.
“It’s a huge scholarship, which has meant I’ve been able to focus more on my studies and try to do well academically.”

Destination Australia scholarships support students to study in regional Australia and provide a unique opportunity to explore life outside of the major cities. Students enrolling in the following programs are eligible to apply:
- Bachelor of Agricultural Science
- Bachelor of Veterinary Science (Honours)
- Bachelor of Veterinary Technology
- Bachelor of Wildlife Science
- Master of Agribusiness (1.5 years)
- Master of Agribusiness (2 years)
- Master of Agricultural Science (1.5 years) – except Plant Protection field of study
- Master of Agricultural Science (2 years) – except Plant Protection field of study
- Master of Animal Science (1.5 years)
- Master of Animal Science (2 years).
Scholarships are available to both international and domestic students enrolled in the above programs.
