An Introduction to the Science of Learning in Practice Part 2

Diving Deep into the Science of Learning in Practice: Exploring Areas of Interest

Delivered by School of Education

Overview

Strengthen your skills in critically assessing research and translating it into effective teaching.

Most learning research is conducted under controlled conditions with populations that vary from those you are working with. Research can also vary in quality – in how it was completed and how the findings or claims are drawn – making it challenging to apply neuroscientific research to educational practice.

This course will enhance your ability to source and evaluate the relevance and quality of learning research and effectively translate it into practice within your educational setting. You’ll get to upskill while exploring the research area that most interests you.

This module broadly aligns with AITSL Professional Standards for Teachers No. 1, 3 and 6, but it may also align with other standards depending on the area you choose to focus on.
