Joint PhD programs

In partnership with key strategic partners, UQ has established international joint PhD programs, which provide successful graduates with a jointly awarded doctoral degree from two institutions.

Joint PhD programs

  • The University of Exeter, U.K. This joint PhD program is a central pillar of the QUEX Institute, whose research focus encompasses global challenges, sustainability, and well-being.
  • The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, India. The joint PhD program is offered through the UQ-IITD Research Academy, with diverse projects available, including those aligned to priority research themes.

How to apply

Aspiring joint PhD candidates can only apply for advertised projects that have been developed by the joint supervisory team and approved by both universities.
