Get ready for UQ

We can't wait to meet you! Here's what you need to do to get ready to study at UQ.

In the weeks leading up to the semester, we'll let you know when your student account is ready. You can then begin working through our Starting at UQ website.

Starting at UQ will walk you through the essential steps to prepare for semester, including:

  • enrolling in courses
  • creating your timetable
  • applying for credit or exemptions for previous study
  • attending orientation.

Now that you're a UQ student, you should also familiarise yourself with UQ's academic integrity and student conduct policies.

We can't wait to meet you! Here's what you need to do to get ready to study at UQ.

Applying for a visa

You need a valid visa to study in Australia. Make sure you apply for your visa as soon as you receive your Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) from UQ.

You’ll receive your invitation to join Goin’ shortly after you receive your offer.

We'll help you plan what you need to do before you travel, when you arrive and as you settle into your new life as a UQ student.
