Study abroad and exchange admissions

If you're interested in opportunities to study overseas as a UQ student, learn more about global experiences.

Ensure you meet the eligibility requirements for study abroad or exchange at UQ.

To be eligible, you must:

  • be currently enrolled and have completed at least one full-time year of study at an accredited university outside Australia
  • hold average to above-average results in university studies to date
  • meet UQ’s English language proficiency requirements
  • meet any additional student visa requirements for English proficiency, as required by the Department of Home Affairs.

You may also need to meet specific course prerequisites for admission into certain courses.

You'll apply as either a study abroad or an exchange student. This depends on whether your home university is an exchange partner of UQ.
