Guaranteed entry

We offer guaranteed entry to most undergraduate programs based on minimum ATAR thresholds, giving you certainty when applying to UQ so you can focus on planning for 2024 and beyond.

We'll update this page later in the year with the new entry ATAR thresholds for Semester 1, 2025.

What you'll need to do

If your QTAC preferences include a UQ undergraduate program, you will automatically be considered for the ATAR guarantee – you don’t need to do anything extra.

Find your program

Find your preferred program below and check the guaranteed entry score for Semester 1, 2024. You're also eligible if you have an equivalent selection rank or International Baccalaureate score.

Check the requirements

Make sure you meet any prerequisites or other entry requirements. Check the program page for details.

Apply

Apply through the Queensland Tertiary Admissions Centre (QTAC) and list the UQ program you most want to study as your first preference.

Register for updates

Sign up to be notified when new guaranteed entry ATAR thresholds for Semester 1, 2025 are released.
