Review fees

University is a valuable investment in your future. Understand the costs for your study.

You'll need to pay tuition fees for each course you enrol in. Fees may be different for each course and increase annually.

To help estimate your costs, see our fee schedules for domestic fee-paying undergraduate students or domestic postgraduate coursework students for the year you intend to study.

To check whether your course is undergraduate or postgraduate level, look at the first number in the course code:

  • undergraduate courses start with 1–5
  • postgraduate courses start with 7 or 8.

As a non-award student you aren't eligible for the Higher Education Loan Program (HELP) or financial assistance from Centrelink.

You'll need to pay tuition fees. How your fee is calculated depends on your study load.

Full-time study

Usually, you'll pay a flat fee for full-time non-award enrolment. The semester fee for 2024 is A$13,710.

Part-time study

You'll need to pay tuition fees to UQ for each course you enrol in. Tuition fees may be different for each course and increase annually.

To help estimate your costs, check the fee schedule for full-fee paying students.

You'll need to use your relevant year fee schedule and find your program to help you calculate the total cost of your fees for each course.

Multiply the rate per unit by the unit value to calculate your total estimated cost of course, e.g. rate per unit x unit value = total cost of course.
