If you've completed previous study, you may be eligible to receive credit for – or exemption from – certain courses in a UQ program.
If you receive credit or exemptions for previous study, you won’t have to repeat similar courses and may be able to graduate sooner.
What am I eligible for?
Select the type of study you've completed to see what credit or exemptions you may be eligible for.
If you've completed studies at another university, search the credit precedent database to see courses that UQ has previously assessed for credit applications.
If you've completed previous study at UQ, see our advice on transferring credit between UQ programs.
You can receive up to 1 semester (8 units) of credit towards a UQ program from IB studies, depending on:
- which IB subjects you studied
- your grades
- the structure of the UQ program.
If you've studied a language during your IB, you may also be eligible to begin your language studies at a higher level.
