Bus
There are 2 bus stops on campus:
If you have the option, arrive to UQ Lakes bus stop instead of Chancellor's Place as it's less likely to be congested.
M2 metro
The M2 metro service runs from RBWH Hospital, through Brisbane City, stopping at several major stations on its way to UQ Lakes. It departs every 10 minutes and will be operating on Open Day. See all stops by viewing the full M2 timetable on Translink.

If you take a train, you'll need to take a bus to complete your journey, as there isn’t a train station in St Lucia.

Arrive by car
The main roads into St Lucia campus are Sir Fred Schonell Drive and Sir William McGregor Drive.
You can't access parking from Chancellor's place.
Allow for a longer journey due to heavier-than-normal traffic.
Parking at St Lucia
Parking on campus is free but in demand on Open Day.
You can park in any parking space for free including in:
- permit-only zones
- multi-story car parks.
Accessible parking
Parking spaces for Persons With Disability (PWD) are reserved for people with an Australian or red disability parking permit.
Please head to Slip Road for accessible parking.
Overflow parking
We have opened William Dart Park for car parking on Open Day to ease congestion on campus. Enter via Coleridge Street, park your car and make the short 5 to 10 minute walk to St Lucia campus via Sir Fred Schonell Drive.
Drop off from Dutton Park
If you're coming from the south side of the river, consider getting dropped off at Dutton Park Place bus station.
You can easily walk or get a bus across the Eleanor Schonell Bridge to St Lucia campus.
