Who should attend

This course is suitable for:

  • social performance and other professionals (such as geologists, engineers and environmental scientists) who interact with communities and other stakeholders in the context of resource projects
  • mineral exploration and mining managers and program support professionals.

Entry requirements

There are no prerequisites for this course.

What you'll learn

You'll build your capacity for leading practice community engagement and dialogue through:

  • learning new frameworks
  • practicing skills
  • personal reflection
  • working with colleagues
  • applying learning in practice.

Time commitment

This is an in-person course that will require roughly 24 hours to complete.

  • 3-day workshop (8 hours per day)

Course curriculum

Assessment

There is an assignment for this course which is completed during the workshop on day 3.

Certification and accreditation

Students who successfully complete the course will receive a Certificate of Completion to verify their skills and achievements.

Cost

Applicant Price
Individual (for Australia-based attendees) A$2,800

This cost includes morning, afternoon tea and lunch on the three workshop days, but does not include  transport, accommodation or other logistical costs of participation.

The course will proceed only if minimum registration numbers are reached.
