Overview
Cross-sectoral leadership often requires decision making in complex situations and environments. The ability to understand the different aspects and elements involved and the relationships between them is essential to reducing unintended consequences.
Systems thinking provides skills that build capability in identifying and understanding systems, predicting their behaviours, and designing interventions to guide the systems towards desired effects, which provides greater certainty for all stakeholders.
