Project description
This project aims to develop high-performance electrodes for CO2 electrolyser to convert greenhouse gas CO2 into useful chemical products. Novel nanostructured catalysts will be developed for the electrodes in order to improve CO2 conversion and high-value product selectivity.
Research environment
The project is in the Australian Research Council's Centre of Excellence for Green Electrochemical Transformation of Carbon Dioxide and the UQ School of Chemical Engineering. The research will use world-class laboratory facilities, including electrochemical testing equipment in the School of Chemical Engineering and access to advanced characterisation (SEM, TEM, etc) facilities in UQ's Centre for Microscopy and Microanalysis.
Scholarship
This project is supported by the Research project scholarship.
