Project description

This project aims to develop high-performance lead-free perovskites and applications in solar cells and other optoelectronics. The project will design  new interfacial engineering and defect passivation strategies and target at high efficiencies in solar cells. The project will also explore new applications of lead-free halide perovskite materials.

Scholarship

This project is supported by the Research project scholarship.

This scholarship includes:

  • living stipend of $36,400 per annum tax free (2025 rate), indexed annually
  • tuition fees covered.

Preferred educational background

Your application will be assessed on a competitive basis.

We take into account your:

  • honours and awards

A working knowledge of material science, physics or chemistry would be of benefit to someone working on this project.

You will demonstrate academic achievement in the field/s of solar cells and optoelectronic devices and the potential for scholastic success.

A background or knowledge of halide perovskite materials is highly desirable.
