In this major you'll study areas as diverse as the intensive production of fruit, vegetable, nursery and floricultural crops and turf, and the use of plants for recreational and therapeutic benefit or to enhance the urban landscape.

You'll learn to improve plant yield, quality, nutritional value and resistance to insects, diseases and environmental stresses through the use of scientific techniques in plant breeding, biochemistry, physiology and propagation.
