Event sessions
Enrolments are open for the Institute of Modern Languages Summer Program, which runs from 12-16 January 2026. This program is offered to high school students in years 7-12 in 2026.

- Courses are online for years 7, 8, 9 and 10
- Courses are online or in person (St Lucia Campus) for Years 11 and 12
Who should attend
This program is for students who wish to further their studies and increase their proficiency and fluency in one of the following languages:
- French - beginner offering for Year 7 and 8
- German
- Japanese - beginner offering for Year 7 and 8
- Spanish
Eligibility
Students should have completed at least one year of language study to enrol, except for Year 7 and 8 students enrolling in French or Japanese courses, which are designed for complete beginners.
The Year 11 and 12 program is designed for language students in their Senior phase of learning who are completing:
- Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) or
- International Baccalaureate program (IB) – minimum for the IML program is at least one year of language studies.
Cost
- Year 7, 8, 9 and 10 online program – $235
- Year 11 and 12 online program – $250
- Year 11 and 12 face-to-face program – $350
