World Religions Experience Day 2025

Experience studies in religion at UQ.

Explore how major world religions have had, and continue to have, profound impacts on societies around the globe.

Event sessions

What’s involved

  • Experience a day at the St Lucia campus of UQ.
  • Hear from world-leading scholars in the study of religion.
  • Learn about specific religions and the place of religion in the contemporary world.
  • Take part in sessions on topics such as Islam and Society, Science and Religion Conflict, Hinduism: Sacred Texts, and Abraham Joshua Heschel and the Meaning of the Sabbath in 20th-century America.

Who should attend

  • Year 11 students who are currently studying religion at school or who have a keen interest in arts and humanities.
  • Teachers.

Cost

  • Registration is $5 per student.
  • There are no costs for teachers.
