The Path to Net Zero: Carbon Emissions within the Mining Industry

Overview

Understand greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and net-zero targets within the mining industry, as well as sustainable decarbonisation practices.

This one-day workshop gives you a comprehensive view of mining decarbonisation. You will explore emission sources, the complexities of scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions, energy transition, and emerging technologies shaping the future. You will discuss case studies and best practices, engage in interactive workshops, and network with peers.

This workshop will provide knowledge on sustainable mining practices and carbon reduction strategies.

Anyone seeking to upgrade their understanding of emissions, decarbonisation and net-zero. Specifically:

  • mining Industry professionals
  • division or corporate technical and functional staff such as engineering or consultants
  • researchers and post-graduate students.

The 13 June course is aimed at Australian participants but is open to all.

The 18 June course is aimed at South African/European participants but is open to all.
