Laser absorption spectroscopy studies of electronic excitation and ionisation for predictive plasma and radiation modelling
Develop a flexible laser absorption spectroscopy (LAS) system to quantify key plasma species and thermodynamic properties. The technology will be demonstrated on a pulsed electric discharge as well as UQ hypersonic facilities. The outcome will be sensitive measurements of composition and thermodynamic state.
