Field of Study

Rural Development

Master of Agribusiness

Become a specialist in rural development with the leadership, research, and problem-solving skills needed to contribute to and improve the livelihoods of rural industries and communities.

In this field of study, you’ll learn skills to help rural communities face global challenges, such as food security, climate change, or competing claims on limited resources in relation to agriculture, food, and the environment.

You’ll take an economic approach to the study of agricultural development from a global level all the way down to the household level, and develop practical knowledge and skills to analyse, plan, implement, and evaluate stakeholder engagement programs and activities.

Graduates often find rewarding careers in a wide range of government, commercial, community based or research roles in the broad field of rural development and agribusiness.
