Social Research Methods Part 10

Data Wrangling with R: An Introduction

Delivered by Institute for Social Science Research

Overview

This course will equip you with the data wrangling skills needed to prepare research data for analysis using R.

It will cover both survey data as well as more complex data, such as administrative data. No prior knowledge of R is required; the course will cover the basics of working with R, including R syntax, data types and basic operations.

You'll learn how to import and inspect various types of data. You'll also learn and practise data wrangling: modifying, joining, reshaping, and summarising data to prepare it for analysis. This will be an interactive live coding workshop where you'll be expected to write code along with the instructor.
