Machine-learning classification of microbial genovars
The Genome Taxonomy Database reflects vertical evolution of microbial species and does not capture subspecies and horizontally transferred traits that are important for classification of some microbes, e.g., pathogens. Develop genome-based machine learning classifiers for these traits in a selection of fungal and bacterial species.
