My degree helped me learn how to study films critically – what makes a good film, and what doesn’t, and I use this in my role as a programming specialist to analyse films and how they’ll work across our circuit.
Studying the economics of justice was hugely influential on me in the way we explored economics from the perspective of justice and fairness. That is a framework I’m always considering, from my early experiences working on social justice documentaries to negotiating contracts.
This major is about learning how to see meaning behind the text, you’re taking into consideration what you’re hearing and how things are visually presented and how it all comes together. Conversations in the classes open up meaning on different levels.
