Project description
This project develops visual-grounded methods to support learning from complex geometry problems.
It focuses on connecting problem text with visual diagram information to reduce ambiguity, improve step-by-step explanations, and provide reliable learning support for students.
You will explore how visual and textual cues can be combined to help learners understand geometric relationships, reasoning paths, and solution strategies in a transparent and education-focused way.
Research environment
The project will be hosted in UQ’s School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, within a collaborative research environment in data science discipline.
You will benefit from supervision expertise in multimodal learning and reliable visual reasoning, as well as access to UQ research training, seminars, and computing infrastructure.
Scholarship
This project is supported by the Research project scholarship.
