Sustainable Buildings

Bachelor of Architectural Design

Design for a more sustainable, resilient and low carbon built environment.

Explore how architecture can respond to people, place and climate while reducing environmental impact and improving building performance.

You’ll start with foundations in design, technology and sustainability, then move into building performance, environmental design and materials innovation. You’ll also explore how traditional knowledge can inform sustainable design practice.

Through studio projects, you’ll apply design research to real sites, climates and community needs. You’ll use tools and technologies that support energy efficiency, carbon reduction and resource efficiency, and can choose electives in data-driven design or critical perspectives on architecture.
