Bachelors of Human Movement and Nutrition Sciences / Information Technology

Overview

This dual program provides interdisciplinary expertise in physical activity, nutrition and information technology, preparing you for innovative career where human wellbeing, performance and technology intersect.

Opportunities include in health data management, digital health innovation, performance measurement or wearable fitness technology.

The Bachelor of Human Movement and Nutrition Sciences coursework explores areas such as exercise physiology, sport psychology and nutrition offering insights into promoting health and wellbeing across all populations.

While the Bachelor of Information Technology provides expertise in computer and information systems, software design and user experience (UX) design. This program emphasises developing problem-solving and technical skills to solve complex open-ended challenges that are essential for innovation in the digital world.

In both programs, you will engage with coursework and practical learning opportunities, preparing you for success in both fields.

Placements and work experience

HMST3103 Nutrition, Sport and Physical Activity Management - Industry Placement has been developed to provide final year Human Movement and Nutrition Sciences students with hands-on experience in a related work environment. Students may be required to hold a current Blue Card (Working with Children Check). This is dependent on the requirements of their placement provider.
