Develop the expertise to protect species, manage ecosystems and care for animals in captivity.
This program combines ecology, conservation and animal biology to help you understand, protect and manage wildlife in a changing world.
Drawing on expertise in zoology, ecology, conservation biology, veterinary sciences and animal husbandry, you’ll gain a broad understanding of wildlife systems and the skills to address environmental challenges.
Queensland's unique biodiversity provides a natural laboratory for your learning with field experiences embedded throughout the program.
You'll complete your first year at the St Lucia campus, building a foundation in ecology, environmental management and animal science.
Then you'll specialise in one of 2 majors:
- Captive Wildlife Management
- Wildlife Conservation.
A new mid-year intake means you can begin your degree in July.

TOEFL iBT (including Paper Edition) - Overall 87, listening 19, reading 19, writing 21 and speaking 19.
PTE Academic - Overall Score of 64 and 60 in all sub bands.
BE - A minimum overall grade of 4 plus a minimum grade of C in all macro skills.
CES - Overall 176 and 169 in all sub bands.
OET is not accepted.

Student visas
International students who are accepted into full-time study in the Bachelor of Wildlife Science are eligible to apply for an Australian student visa (subclass 500).
